From August to September 2015, Bankable Frontiers Associates (BFA) conducted a survey of approximately 500 clients from Capital Aid Fund for Employment of the Poor (CEP). The survey is part of BFA’s work in optimizing performance through improved cross(x)-sell (OPTIX), a project sponsored by Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, Inc. (RPA).

RTA’s main tasks:

• Provided the rtSurvey system for data and fieldwork management
• Translated survey questionnaire from English into Vietnamese and answers from Vietnamese into English; piloted the translated survey
• Created the electronic form for the questionnaire and test
• Created data validation and data quality check procedures
• Trained 32 CEP staff on use of survey tools, tablets and survey software
• Provided data quality control and data cleaning on a daily basis and at the end of the project
• Provided access to real-time data and final clean dataset when all surveys were completed
• Provided intermediary reports on data collection and data codebook as a supplement survey documentation
